The federal and provincial governments are providing substantial funding to help improve the spectacular Starlite Trail through the Long Range Mountains.
The trail runs from the site of the former Starlite Motel in Port aux Basques and through some of the best vistas the region has to offer.
The federal government is contributing $644,000 dollars to the project while the province is providing $245,000.
The money will be used to improve and redevelop the existing trail and extend it through the highlands surrounding Campbell’s Lake to cover approximately 17 km.
