A 38-year-old man from Moncton, New Brunswick is dead following a workplace incident at Tata Steel’s mining site in Labrador West.
The RNC was notified by the company yesterday afternoon of a workplace death at a remote mining location yesterday.
The Constabulary is working with officers from the Sûreté du Québec in Schefferville, and the site has been secured.
Occupational Health and Safety and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are also involved.
