Cape to Cabot Sees Increase in Participation

Cape to Cabot 2023

Participation in the annual Cape to Cabot road race held this weekend has increased, nearly to pre-pandemic levels.

Race Director Guy Bazely says some 442 runners registered for this year’s race including 85-year-old Florence Barron who finished the challenging course in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Bazely calls Barron an inspiration to everyone. He says at the Awards reception, she received a standing ovation “that went on for quite some time.”

Michael Dawe, who is fighting cancer, was met on the finish line by his parents after finishing the race at 1:46:21.
