Former PC Leader David Brazil Gets Standing Ovation During Final House of Assembly Session

An emotional send off in the House of Assembly this afternoon for David Brazil, the PC MHA and former party leader who announced his retirement from politics last week.

Brazil is stepping down at the end of December.

He offered his heartfelt thanks to his family and colleagues in the House as the Fall sitting wrapped up this afternoon.

Meanwhile, PC Leader Tony Wakeham broke down while bidding Brazil a fond adieu.

He says they don’t just say goodbye to the member for Conception Bay East-Bell Island, but to their friend David Brazil.
