A search is underway for a hunter missing on the province’s west coast since last weekend.
Corner Brook RCMP say 67-year-old Gary Wells of Hughes Brook was last seen on Sunday, November 5th while heading to the Goose Arm Road area an ATV.
Police say Wells was wearing a black helmet and a black and grey woods jacket.
His ATV is described as a grey 2017 Can-Am Outlander quad with licence place number VGV 338.
The search involves members of the Bay of Islands Ground Search and Rescue, RCMP Police Dog Services, and officers from the Corner Brook and Deer Lake detachments.
Police are asking the public to report any ATV sighting and are asking people to refrain from searching on their own to allow tracking dogs to effectively do their work.
