Justice Minister Says Redactions Made in AG Report Into MUN to Protect Privacy

The Minister of Justice and Public Safety says some information in the Auditor General report into operations at Memorial University released publicly this week was redacted for privacy reasons.

Some information including the bonus amount paid to executives at C-CORE and the Genesis Centre were blacked out, along with a small number of other redactions deemed to be personal information.

John Hogan was responding to questions in the Legislature from Opposition House Leader Barry Petten yesterday.

He says redactions are done on any report presented to government before they are released publicly according to ATIPP Legislation.
