A 46-year-old man is without his vehicle after driving impaired and taking off from the scene of an accident in the capital city’s east end.
RNC rushed to the scene on Torbay Road just before 2:00 a.m. this morning to reports of a hit and run.
The suspect didn’t manage to flee too far as police caught up with him not far from the scene of the accident.
The driver, who showed signs of impairment, failed the roadside breath test and was taken to the detachment where he was charged with failing the breathalyzer and impaired driving.
His vehicle was impounded and he was released to appear in court at a later date.
