A native of Corner Brook is rising through the ranks of the PGA in the United States.
Cathy Matthews-Kane, who began her golf journey in Corner Brook, has been elected President of the Colorado PGA, which serves the Colorado-Utah-Wyoming region.
Matthews-Kane was a three-time academic, All-American, four-year Varsity letter winner and captain of the women’s golf team at the University of Iowa, and has received numerous accolades over the years including being named one of the top 25 assistant professionals by Golf World Magazine.
The PGA of America owns and operates numerous championships and events including the Ryder Cup.
