Police have arrested a previously wanted man in connection with an incident this past weekend in the Metro region
RNC took 26-year-old Kordell Dixon into custody this afternoon.
On Saturday around 4:15 a.m., police were called to a home in Mount Pearl where a 25-year-old woman had been assaulted after a man broke into the residence. The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. The woman was sent to hospital.
The man was known to the occupants of the house and left before police arrived.
As a result of the investigation, Dixon faces charges of sexual assault, break and enter, assault with a weapon. forcible confinement, failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with a family violence protection order.
The investigation into the case continues.
