The province is reminding the public that provincial carriers that travel more than 160 kilometres outside of their home terminal or temporary worksite are required to track their hours of service through an electronic logging device.
The devices are mandatory to track a driver’s hours and monitor compliance with Hours of Service Regulations as of December 1.
Vehicles will be checked primarily at weigh scale stations for electronic log device usage across the province, with school bus drivers exempt from the mandates.
