The province is reminding employers across the province about a program available to help improve access to flu and COVID vaccines.
The Private Employer Vaccine Program provides support to employers to offer flu and COVID vaccine clinics for 30 or more pre-registered employees.
Employers can apply for one of two options; receive publicly-funded vaccine at no charge if they already have a health care provider on site to deliver the shots, or receive a grant to hire health care professionals to administer vaccines to their employees.
Health officials anticipate an active flu season, in addition to a number of viruses already in circulation, including COVID-19.
