
The RNC is looking for the public’s help in connection with two separate collisions in the metro region.
The first occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the area of the strip mall off Old Placentia Road near Gibson Drive in Mount Pearl.
Investigators determined that a car had collided with a parked vehicle and a pedestrian and left the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark grey Mazda four-door sedan, potentially a 2017 or 2018 model year with two men on board. The driver was described as being in his 20s with light brown hair and glasses and wearing a tie-dye shirt. The passenger had black hair, a scruffy beard, and tattoos on the back of his hands. He was wearing a black track suit.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Empire Avenue near Suez Street around 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Police found the man and woman who were struck, and the vehicle involved. The man received medical treatment for injuries suffered in the incident.
Investigations are underway and police are asking anyone with information or dash cam footage in the area of either collision to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
