Mother Nature is going to paint parts of Labrador white over the next few days with special weather statements in effect for the Upper Lake Melville area and the southeast.
Meteorologist Erika Ranger with Environment Canada’s Gander Weather Office says amounts in the Upper Lake Melville area and the southeast will depend on elevation.
Expect about 10 to 15 cm in lower terrain but 20 to 30 in higher terrain.
Gusty winds could cause blowing snow in some areas.
The Northern Peninsula will also likely be hit with some snow, but in lesser amounts as it will begin as rain.
