A popular open mic is returning to the capital city.
Spoken Word St. John’s is once again starting up events after a two-year hiatus. The open mic, which ran for over a decade before the break, provides a space for prose, poetry and spoken word pieces.
Cole Hayley, co-organizer of the event, says anyone can sign up to participate.
He says there will be a featured reader slot, with the open mic after it. He encourages anyone who wants to see if spoken word is something they are interested in to come out and give it a try.
The event takes place November 19 in the Cox and Palmer Second Space at the LSPU Hall.
