Wakeham, Furey Clash Over Federal Carbon Tax in House of Assembly

The carbon tax was a source of contention in the House of Assembly today.

Opposition Leader Tony Wakeham fired questions at the government side about the impact of the carbon tax on residents who are already dealing with the impact of the rising cost of living.

Premier Andrew Furey reiterated that government shares concerns over the federal carbon tax over chirping from the Opposition benches.

Opposition Leader Tony Wakeham asked government whether it was willing to rebate the people of Newfoundland and Labrador the $35 million taken in by the province through the tax.
